The Little King Jesus

Oh the little king Jesus
Is a-smiling in his sleep,
While the angels are a-singing in the sky.
Oh the little king Jesus
Hears the tinkling of the sheep,
For the shepherds are a-drawing very nigh.

Listen to them bells a-ringing,
Listen to them angels singing.
All the glittering sky is filled with them,
All over Bethlehem.
A little king has come to earth,
And they're a-singing of his birth
All over Bethlehem

Oh them old-time shepherds
Are a-coming through the door,
For with haste, the country road alone, they trod.
Oh them old-time shepherds
Are a-kneeling on the floor
With a wooly lamb, to give the Son of God..

Oh them three wise monarchs
Who were travelling from afar,
For the little baby king they want'd to see.
Oh them three wise monarchs
Were a-following the star,
And it brought them to his cabin same as me.
